With over 20 years of history delivering fresh pasta across Melbourne and Greater Victoria, it was imperative that Alligator Brand ensured the highest levels of sanitation and quality in its HACCP accredited site. To achieve a finish that met Alligator Brand’s exacting standards, 1,000 m2 of the antibacterial, cementitious urethane system Flowfresh SR was applied throughout the various rooms of the production area.
The seamless, robust nature of Flowfresh SR was ideal for the task at hand, as it would maintain an ultra-hygienic surface for an extended period of time despite the impacts, point loading, chemicals, spillages, frequent cleaning and foot traffic that it would be subjected to. The Flowfresh range has been HACCP International certified, so Alligator Brand could rest assured that it would meet the demanding HACCP standard that the facility complies with.
Three bespoke colours were chosen for the project from the AS2700 colour range, including Bluebell, Homebush Yellow and Marigold. Alligator Brand’s owners chose these tones as they drastically improved the site’s interior visuals compared to the previous drab grey floors. Flowfresh Sealer was also applied to create a gloss, easy to clean finish.
This refurbishment was a good opportunity to use these different colours to designate the facility’s various zones. Bluebell was used in the pasteurising room, Marigold was applied in the pasta cooking area and Homebush Yellow was installed in the pasta forming area. A lot of yellow-tinged semolina is used in the pasta forming area, which meant the owners required a similarly coloured floor.
