More than 2,500 square metres of high strength epoxy flooring material from Flowcrete Australia has been chosen to floor an existing maintenance and hangar facility operated by ExecuJet Aviation Group at Essendon Airport in Melbourne.

The facility allows the company to service and maintain a wide range of business jets as well as operating an Authorised Service Center for Bombardier, Gulfstream, Embraer and Hawker Beech.

As part of routine upgrade works, two coats of Flowcrete Australia's high-strength epoxy floor coating system, Flowcoat SK was specified across the entire hangar area.

Flowcoat SK has been designed specifically by Flowcrete to meet the requirements of aviation and aircraft facilities, offering an enhanced chemical resistance profile particularly to oils, petrol, grease and aviation fluids including Skydrol.

Following the application of Flowcoat SK a further layer of Flowseal UV was installed to provide a protective top coat.

Flowseal UV not only delivers a high-level of UV resistance but also is highly light-reflective and bright to ensure an optimised environment for engineers working on the aircraft.

A further installation of Flowcrete materials has since taken place at a second ExecuJet Aviation Group facility in Mascot, New South Wales.
