De Costi Seafoods was established at the Sydney Fish Markets, Pyrmont in 1981. Recognised as the most popular fresh seafood brand name in Australia, De Costi Seafoods operates in retail and wholesale seafood markets.
The client’s existing floor was made of slippery tiles, with grouting that was eroding fast. With that in mind, Flowcrete was called in to provide a flooring system that would guarantee a safe environment for visitors and employees alike.
200m2 of the HACCP certified antimicrobial flooring system Flowfresh SR was installed at a thickness of 5mm in an Ash Grey shade at De Costi Seafoods’ Sydney store.
The ultra hygienic system was overlaid on top of the existing tiles, to provide a cleaner, quieter installation. Flowfresh SR is a slip-resistant antimicrobial flooring solution with added chemical and heat resistant properties designed to service the food and beverage industry.
Due to the nature of the facility, the floor often has large quantities of excess water on it. This meant that the newly specified surface needed to provide a slip resistance rating of at least R11 to make it a safe environment for all visitors and employees.
The project was completed on time and Flowcrete’s Flowfresh SR was more than up to the job. The client was delighted with its brand new highly functional, slip resistant flooring system courtesy of the resin flooring specialists.
