1,600m2 of the solvent-free protective traffic coating Deckshield ID and 1,600m2 of the watertight, hard wearing Flowcoat OP were used to revitalise the fading areas of the parking facility.
These flooring solutions have been tailored to maintain a seamless, colourful, easy to clean and functional surface despite the many challenges inherent to car parks, such as the frequent movement of heavy vehicles, exposure to automotive chemicals, pedestrian traffic, impacts, scuffs, scrapes and stains.
To create a visually appealing interior, the finish was supplied in an eye-catching light blue. A walkway in a complementary dark green colour was incorporated into the finish to enhance pedestrian safety and help people find their way around the site.
The car park’s operators chose to use this flooring package thanks to Deckshield’s extensive and impressive track record within busy car parking facilities.
Flowcrete Australia and its approved applicator were able to complete the flooring project over the long Easter weekend in 2014. The short four-day installation schedule minimised disruption to the client and meant that the car park could be fully functional again after only a very short period of downtime.
