Team Build 2019 - The Haggle...

Every year the team from Flowcrete Australia get together from across the country for training and team-building activities. 2019 was the year of The Haggle...

The impressive crew at Hidden Door developed a fun (and slightly competitive) activity, called 'The Haggle', where our staff completed a series of short 'food' themed challenges. Hosted at the Sydney Cooking Schools purpose-built kitchen in Neutral Bay, teams raced to complete the challenging tasks. The winners of the first round of challenges collected a Coles gift card, and the losing team received a card with a more moderate amount. 

Next, it was onto the major activity of the day, which involved the development of a recipe which could be created on the Coles voucher budget, would feed 40-50 people and be taken to the charity organisation Wayside Chapel to help those less fortunate. 

Teams raced to the shopping centre located nearby and collectively selected enough ingredients to whip up the recipe. Over the day Flowcrete's team members worked with each other and had quite a few laughs while serving up two fantastic meals which would be delivered to the charity organisations Wayside Cafes. 

The organisation states, "Our cafes are the busiest and liveliest part of Wayside, with people from all walks of life coming together for a meal, a coffee or simply to spend time together in a safe place. Items range from 20c to $4. This is consistent with the greater Wayside mentality of a hand up rather than a handout and helps to provide our visitors with the dignity of choice." 

Flowcrete staff members were extremely proud to work with the team from Hidden Door and Wayside Chapel. We thoroughly enjoyed the fun, engaging, learning experience for our 2019 Team Build
