Audi Centre Brisbane

Located in the Brisbane Fortitude Valley, Audi's iconic city centre dealership has undergone a major redevelopment to fall in line with the car manufacturer's latest dealership design guidelines.

Part of the redevelopment required the upper concrete floor to be resurfaced to offer a durable and watertight finish, providing protection to the workshop below. The flooring solution had to meet both the functional and visual requirements set out by the client.

Having been previously used with excellent results in six Audi dealership's across Australia, Deckshield ID was again chosen. Deckshield ID is Flowcrete Australia's solvent-free protective traffic coating and was the system of choice due to its proven track record, excellent durability and aesthetic properties.

One particular challenge during the installation was overcoming major cracks that were present in the existing floor finish, which had to be repaired prior to the installation of the watertight Deckshield finish.

Deckshield ID is highly recommended for use in environments exposed to vehicular traffic movement. The system offers excellent crack-bridging capabilities and will not split, or cause hairline fractures, when exposed to dynamic loading, extreme temperature variables or deck movement.

The material has an excellent bond strength and can be installed under a tight turnaround, all of which were appealing to the client. In addition, Deckshield protection systems have a highly accredited fire rating, and are available in a wide range of attractive colours and finishes.
