Revesby Train Station

Revesby Train Station’s overpass walk bridge recently underwent a Flowcrete makeover, as its tired and old looking concrete floor was no longer fit for purpose in Sydney's South West.

The applicators had a window of just four hours a day to install 140m² of the Flowfast SRQ system in sections across the walk bridge. The system was selected due to its durability and rapid cure properties and subsequently laid in a mid grey blend.

The floor had to be prepared, the system installed and complete cure achieved within the four-hour window to allow for pedestrian traffic the next morning. This meant that the walk bridge took a total of six nights to complete, which was a combined total of 24 hours. 

The newly completed system features non-slip aggregates, which are tailored to reach an R11, slip rating. The client was delighted with the end result after Flowcrete provided its train station with an attractive, durable, safe platform underfoot.
