The Decade of Deckshield
As we reach the close of the current decade, the team at Flowcrete Australia HQ decided to reflect on our favourite Deckshield projects from the last ten years.
The impressive crew at Hidden Door developed a fun (and slightly competitive) activity, called 'The Haggle', where our staff completed a series of short 'food' themed challenges. Hosted at the Sydney Cooking Schools purpose-built kitchen in Neutral Bay, teams raced to complete the challenging tasks. The winners of the first round of challenges collected a Coles gift card, and the losing team received a card with a more moderate amount.
The team from Flowcrete Australia will be on stand 21 talking to leaders in the Australian Parking Industry about our proven Deckshield Deck Coating range. Every deck is different and our tried and tested, low VOC deck coatings are designed to perform in a range of parking structure designs.
The greater emphasis on the environment and green-building practices is helping to educate manufacturers and consumers on the green credentials of their products, services and facilities. The name used when discussing environmentally friendly design and construction in Australia is The Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) and the Green Star rating system.
Flowcrete Australia, which started operating from the new premises in February, chose the site as it enabled the growing business to increase its stock levels and ensure that it would be able to meet its customers’ supply requirements.
Founded in 1924 by pioneers Edith and James Daubney, Bannister Downs Dairy Farm was named as such thanks to Edith’s maiden name Bannister. Passed down through the generations, the farm is now managed by the Daubney’s grandson and his family.
The IBA is currently the only association working to advance the interests of the independent brewing industry, and is an important gateway for suppliers and government bodies to get information to decision makers within the brewing world.
Architecture can be described as an expression of cultural principles that have been manifested in a deliberate design, often using technological advancements pertinent to the time of the build. This is why the design of buildings appear to get more creative as technology advances, and why historic architecture is held in such high regard due to the sheer skill needed in the absence of these technologies.
Each flooring system has differing properties suited to particular uses and choosing the wrong solution can result in costly repairs or even complete floor failure down the line.
